I know the sacrifice of even giving up the ability to earn an income while tending to the needs and well-being of your children. ⁠ ⁠ But guess what? You have made the best decision regardless, to put the well-being of your child as a top priority. Everything else this world has to offer Is futile and cannot replace the time and effort spent doing what your heart tells you to. ⁠ ⁠ Be proud of yourself and your sacrifice. Boy this kid of mine is unstoppable!!! We just sta Boy this kid of mine is unstoppable!!! We just started introducing my boys to different sports. First it was soccer and now it’s flag football. My youngest kid, in flag football, shocked us all. Were did he get this talent from? It’s beyond me because me nor dad plays any competitive sports. So I’m going to assume that it skipped some generations lol. Anyway I want to encourage you to get your kids involved with sports to help them to learn how to work as a team and to develop confidence in themselves and their abilities. This "super mom" way of being can be so overwhelmi This "super mom" way of being can be so overwhelming when all you want to be is just present. I don't always have to have all my "ducks perfectly in a row" to feel like I'm a better mom. ⁠ ⁠ Just sometimes being present with them is good enough and at the end of the day, that's all that matters. ⁠ ⁠ Perfectionism in my parenting ways is not needed. I have to be ok with just being present. ⁠ ⁠ Have you felt the need or pressure to be something you don't desire to achieve? I know that many of you are probably struggling wi I know that many of you are probably struggling with life. I hear it all the time in my “motherhood circles”. I often hear that I’m tired, drained or burned out with life and everything in between. But do you know why? It’s because you’re trying to be or become someone or something that you’re not and your body’s reaction to you trying to be that is turmoil, weariness and even depression. Now I have been in both lives before to understand that what seems like the “best” life was actually not the life I desired to live afterwards. But until I was able to face my own reality and to understand that something was not working for me, it was then that I had to make the changes I needed to ensure I didn’t get to that place of dysfunction anymore. Yes I had to leave a career as a pharmacist that I spent years to achieve because it didn’t give me the life and balance that I needed to manage life, career and motherhood. But I can honestly tell you that making that pivotal adjustment in my life is the best decision I could make to save myself. How do you currently feel about your own life. Feel free to comment below. What does it matter anyway, when we worry so much What does it matter anyway, when we worry so much about the future of our kids? We worry about who they will marry one day, the college they will attend and so many other things. ⁠ ⁠ But why not focus on just where they are today. We get to focus only on today and to think about the moments we have for just today. ⁠ ⁠ That to me is what matters the most. Then as the days go by, we get to see their lives unravel before our eyes. ⁠ ⁠ So remove those anxious thoughts about our kids and just be present with them today. That's good enough. You're doing well as a parent.
