There are products that I purchased as a new mom that I ended up not using because I realized that I didn’t really need them after all. However, there are pregnancy must-haves that I would highly recommend and have used during both my pregnancies.
So here is a list of my all-time favorite top 5 pregnancy must-haves that I highly recommend for pregnancy.
Are you currently pregnant and looking for recommendations for products that you can use? Or if you have any suggestions, please feel free to add to my list, or ask your questions or concerns below. I would be happy to help you!
“This is my all-time favorite list of products for pregnancy that I highly recommend!”
1. Maternity Support Belt
If you do not have or never had a maternity support belt, then you have probably suffered as I did with back pains and aches with my firstborn.
When I started experiencing back pains as a result of the weight of my belly, I had to find some way to relieve it. I found these bands to be really helpful by taking the pressure off my back while offering support in the process.
I definitely recommend getting one especially in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy when more than likely you have increased in size and need the extra support for your belly and back.
2. Full Body Pregnancy Pillows
These are a must! DO NOT SLEEP WITHOUT IT. Either you have already experienced the uncomfortable tossing throughout the night or you are now being warned!
I already imagined my sleepless nights of constant tossing and turning with my first before I discovered these life-saving, sleep-inducing pillows. No more aches and pains. They offer the perfect balance between comfort and support for your belly hips, legs, and back.
As a bonus, you can also use this pillow to sit upright in bed to read, watch TV, or work on your laptop. Yes, it worked for me and it will for you too.
3. Skin Care Products
Bio-Oil Skincare Oil
Many of you have probably heard about the dreaded stretch marks you get while pregnant. Bio-Oil will actually help to improve the appearance of existing stretch marks formed during pregnancy.
Their unique formulation combines vitamins, plant extracts, and oils which help to increase the moisture content of the skin, reducing itchiness caused by stretching and making the skin appear more smooth and supple.
It worked well with me for both my pregnancies and I don’t have postpartum stretch marks to this day.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Complete Stretch Mark Care Kit
If you are in love with anything cocoa butter like me, this is another alternative. It is a great product to get for pregnancy skincare. It has everything you will need for the pre and post-pregnancy stages.
Your skin will love you afterward for taking such good care of it while it undergoes unbelievable stretching. It helped with skin elasticity, texture, and tone. You will thank me later!
4. Maternity Belly Band | Pregnancy Belt, Waistband Extender
If you are like me and you refuse to buy maternity clothes let alone maternity pants that you can only wear for a very short period, then I would recommend getting a waistband extender as you advance in maternity.
This will save you the cost of buying maternity jeans or work pants that are overpriced and don’t quite fit the way you would like them to anyway.
My stress was that I could not find longer-length maternity pants for my 5 feet 10-inch frame. It just didn’t exist. So this definitely was an instant hit for me.
5. Maternity Pregnant Women Leggings
Leggings, leggings, and more leggings! If you are like me, being comfortable is super important when pregnant. This is the only clothing investment and maybe a couple of cute maternity tops or dresses here or there that I may spend money on.
But leggings will save you a lot of time trying to find what to wear in the closet. You can throw it on with any top and you are ready to go.
Overall these are my TOP 5 favorite pregnancy must-haves! I do hope that this will be helpful when trying to make decisions about purchasing quality products.
